Product Features

Good adaptability

It is not only suitable for the EX1200 model, but also compatible with other related excavator models. It has a wide range of applicability and provides users with more choices.

Superior performance

Track adjuster assy can effectively maintain track tension, reducing track slippage and deviation caused by tension changes, ensuring continuous and accurate operation.

Reliable quality

Our products undergo a rigorous quality testing process, including material inspection, manufacturing process monitoring, and finished product testing, to ensure that each one meets high quality requirements.

01

Surface treatment

The surface hardness reaches 56°–62°HRC. After forging and casting composite processing, the scratch resistance and wear resistance far exceed those of ordinary steel, and it can adapt to the friction environment under harsh working conditions.

02

High-Strength Alloy

The track adjuster assy is forged from 50MnB special alloy steel, which combines high toughness and fatigue resistance, providing a solid structural foundation for the assembly.

03

Precision machining

The inner cavity of the cylinder is processed by ball milling process, with extremely high surface finish. Combined with the re-chrome-plated piston, it further reduces seal wear and achieves long-term leak-free operation.

High-Quality Customized Services

The track adjuster assy uses a custom-made composite sealing assembly, which includes a main seal, a dust seal and a guide ring, providing a complete sealing layer.

Dust protection for lips

In high temperature environments, the seals will not soften and fail, and the hydraulic system sealing is stable.

Oil return grease

The track adjuster's dust seal adopts a double-lip structure. The outer layer blocks large particles of impurities, and the inner layer isolates fine dust, providing double protection.

Combined seal

An oil return groove is provided at the bottom of the sealing groove to guide a small amount of infiltrated grease back to the hydraulic chamber, thus reducing the soaking time of the seal.

Dust protection for lips

The connection surface between the oil cylinder and the shell adopts metal + rubber combination seal, which takes into account both rigid sealing and elastic compensation.

High temperature protection

The valve cores of the oil drain valve and oil filling valve are made of wear-resistant material and can maintain good sealing even after repeated operation for more than 1,000 times.

Advantages of tensioning and buffering performance

EX1200-6Track Adjuster

Precise adjustment

The track adjuster assembly is rationally designed, enabling efficient adjustment with minimal grease injection, adapting to track link length changes from new to worn, with precise and controllable adjustment speed.

The hydraulic chamber features ample grease storage, reducing refill frequency. Operation requires only a grease gun and a wrench, eliminating the need for complex tools. The installation location balances space utilization and ease of adjustment.

Strong cushioning

The dual hydraulic and spring structures complement each other, with the hydraulics providing precise force control and the springs efficiently absorbing energy. The springs feature matched spring stiffness, optimized damping, and a variable diameter design suitable for complex operating conditions, attenuating sudden impacts by over 60%.

The compression stroke is optimized, and the end supports are stable and free of deflection, ensuring performance even after 100,000 cycles of testing.

Stable force and pressure maintenance

A built-in one-way valve instantly locks tension, providing a reliable seal and long-lasting pressure maintenance. Monthly attenuation is ≤5%, preventing track loosening due to impact.

Tensioning is smooth and impact-free, while release is gentle to prevent collisions. The chrome-plated piston rod prevents slipping during heavy-load operation, ensuring long-term stable operation.

Weathering stability

The track adjuster assembly operates normally even in low temperatures and muddy conditions. Tensioning force is evenly transmitted, and the travel meets track droop requirements, reducing wear on the track and drive wheels.

Optimized cushioning improves overall stability, reduces vibration transmission, and offers low operating noise and more comfortable operation.

F A Q

Q:1.Operation revealed that the tracks frequently become loose, failing to maintain normal tension. Which components of the track adjuster assy might be causing this issue? How can it be investigated?

A: This problem is often related to seal failure, component loss, or abnormal pressure in the tensioner assembly. You can troubleshoot it by following the steps below:
Check the seal assembly and cylinder for leaks: Observe the connection between the tensioning cylinder piston rod and the housing for signs of grease leakage. If there is leakage, it is usually due to aging or damage of the piston seal, resulting in grease loss in the high-pressure chamber and inability to maintain tension.
Check the buffer spring condition: If no obvious leakage is found, disassemble and inspect the buffer spring for fatigue fracture, deformation, or elasticity loss. Spring failure will directly lead to insufficient preload, especially after heavy load operation, the track will easily loosen quickly.
Check for one-way valve failure: If the tensioner plunger feels "soft" when pressed (can be pushed easily without resistance) and there is no leakage, the one-way valve built into the cylinder may have failed, causing the high-pressure chamber to be connected to the low-pressure chamber, and the grease cannot maintain pressure. The one-way valve component needs to be disassembled and replaced.

Q:2.How to correctly check and adjust the track tension of the track adjuster during daily maintenance?

A:Inspection and adjustment steps:
Preparation: Park the equipment on a flat and hard ground, turn off the engine and apply the parking brake, safely lift the track side machine body with a jack, and remove the track frame side cover to expose the tensioner assembly.
Tension check: Measure the droop in the middle of the track, or press the middle of the track. For Hitachi EX1200, it is usually appropriate for the track to be lifted 25-30mm. Please refer to the equipment operation manual for the specific value. You can also measure the gap between the track and the sprocket. The normal range is 5-15mm.
Adjustment operation:
When the track needs to be tightened: use a grease gun to inject grease into the tensioner oil filling valve and push the cylinder piston rod out until the standard tension is reached.
When the track needs to be loosened: use a wrench to slowly loosen the drain valve counterclockwise (1-1.5 turns are enough), and tighten the drain valve after the grease is slowly discharged and the track is relaxed to the target state.

Q:3.What are the most easily overlooked risks when disassembling and repairing a track adjuster? How can I handle this safely?

A: The most easily overlooked risk is the release of tension from the high-pressure buffer spring. The buffer spring in the tensioner assembly is always highly compressed during operation, storing enormous elastic potential energy. If forcibly disassembled, the spring could instantly pop out, causing serious injury or component damage.

Safe handling methods: Release pressure in advance: Before disassembly, the grease in the cylinder must be completely drained through the oil drain valve to release the hydraulic pressure; for spring preload, the tensioner assembly must be removed as a whole, and the spring must be slowly compressed using a special press. After the tension is completely released, the restraining parts such as the fixing pin or flange can be removed. Professional tools and personnel operation: It is strictly forbidden to use tools such as hammers and crowbars for violent disassembly. The operation must be performed by qualified maintenance personnel using matching tooling (such as spring compressors).

Q:4.What are the common faults of Hitachi EX1200 track adjuster assy?

A: Track frequently loose: Often due to hydraulic cylinder seal damage and grease leakage, buffer spring failure, or internal check valve malfunction that cannot maintain pressure;
Piston action stuttering: May be caused by impurities entering the mating surface, parts tolerance exceeding specifications, or mating surface scoring and wear;
Buffer spring failure: Common issues include fatigue fracture and deformation, leading to inability to cushion impact or provide pre-tension force;
Lubricant leakage: Besides damaged hydraulic cylinder seals, loose seals on the oil injection valve and oil drain valve can also cause this.
